Fernão Pó Winery
The Fernão Pó Winery is a family business from Fernando Pó, Palmela, which is originated from the merge of the Freitas & Palhoça families. Linked to viticulture and wine production for generations, they bring together two branches of Fernando Pó’s wine history. The Freitas, former owners of the region. The Palhoças, descendants of the culture “caramela”, coming from the north of Portugal. In the 1950s Aníbal da Silva Freitas founded the winery. In 1990, the first private label wine was launched. Today it produces about 660 thousand liters of wines from its own vineyards.
