Pears cooked in Moscatel de Setúbal

– 10 small Rocha pears
– 400ml of Moscatel de Setúbal
– 200ml of water
– 200g of sugar
– 4 cloves
– 2 sticks of cinnamon
– 2 stars of aniseed

Place all the ingredients in a pan, except the pears. Peel the pears, leaving the stalk. Place them in the sauce and raise the heat until the pears are cooked and the sauce begins to reduce, becoming slightly jellied. Let it cool down in the pan and serve the sauce drizzled over the pears.
