With more than 600 references (brands or products), the wines of the Setúbal Peninsula are fruit of the particularities of the land and the vast knowledge of its producers. Many of them you have probably already tasted and may even be among your favorites. Meet them here and be amazed.
Trois
Filipe Cardoso, from Quinta do Piloto, and Luís Simões, from Casa Horácio Simões, joined forces with José Nuno Caninhas, oenologist from Quinta do Piloto. The idea was being built for some time until, with 2015 wines, it was realized. The three friends have particular respect for the Castelão variety, recognizing its enormous potential. This wine is the combination of each personal interpretation, not only in winemaking, but also in the grapes origin. Luís Simões wine was made with grapes from the mountains, while Quinta do Piloto wines have an origin in sand. The wines also rested in different woods, so that the diversity was even greater.
